It is amazing how content with a great title can make such an amazing impact on the number of web page visits and lead generation. I am a proud subscriber to Hubspot’s e-books, so every now and then I get blessed with awesome offers. I must confess that I have never subscribed to any blog that produces such down-to-earth, yet insightful content on the internet.
Their e-books are very thought-provoking and sometimes I find myself so totally engrossed and amazed by the way they present the small things we ignore when doing online marketing. Last week, they sent me an e-book entitled “30 Lead Generation Tips”. Immediately I saw it, I knew I needed to read it and as usual I never regretted I did; so stimulating… It did not take me 5 minutes to find something to wet my appetite.
In chapter 1, section 4 (Focus on Creating An Amazing Title), Jessica Meher explains how they changed the title of an e-book and noticed a sky-high increase in traffic and leads. This was conducted as an experiment to prove that people really do “judge a book by its cover”. Yes indeed!
The original title was “The Productivity Handbook for Busy Marketers” and was changed to “7 Apps That Will Change the Way You Do Marketing”. The content remained the same, only the title was changed. See the impressive data below:
