Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) is a program within Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA). With MCF, Amazon stores your inventory in our fulfillment centers. When items sell on Amazon, on your own site, or on another ecommerce site, Amazon picks, packs, and ships them to your customers.
With Multi-Channel Fulfillment you scale your business and manage spikes in orders during peak seasons. You can also offer customers one- and two-day delivery options.
Multi-Channel Fulfilment (MCF) sellers and their customers can now use a new tracking website to get real-time updates on the location of their shipped packages.
The site provides tracking information for all MCF orders, regardless of carrier.
For customers: Shipment notification emails will link to the tracking site. If you want your customers to get these notifications, provide their email address during fulfilment-order creation. All customer information like name, email, postal address, etc., will be used only for this purpose.
For sellers: After the order has shipped, the tracking number in the Shipped section of the Order Details page will link to the tracking site.
Covid-19 has created a surge in ecommerce transactions in Europe and the United States. This is a welcome inititaive from Amazon UK and will help put both customers and sellers at ease about their Multi-Channel Fulfillments.
Sellers and customers can visit Swiship any time to enter the tracking number provided when the order is shipped and get the latest updates.
